SNOW HOLIDAY

In Honor of this Winter Snow Holiday and the New Year, last night I put out my new Crystal Bead Boughs — Just for how they catch the Light
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I know. I know.
Most people were done with that greeting in the first week of January.
But the Year is still New.
And New Year’s Day always seemed to me a Terrible Day to Launch Something.
Firstly, it’s a Federal Holiday in the USA, and a Holiday that most people Celebrate throughout the World
(Twenty-Four times, really — over a course of 24 hours, throughout all the different Time Zones!)
It’s a Time for Festivity.
It is Still Only the Seventh Day of Christmas and many of us are concentrating on that.
So to begin with Resolutions and Plans and Projections at that time seems premature.
Today is a Much Better Day for that! Read the full post »

Six More Things I Learned From Taking Down the Christmas Decorations
By switching from Masking Tape to Painter’s Tape, I can reuse the Door Foil from Year to Year… What a Beautiful discovery this was.
Even the pieces of tape can be used again!
- Nurture Your Creative Self
It takes some Extra Time, but Every Year the Wreath on the Door is a Bit Different… Read the full post »

Five Things I Learned From Taking Down the Christmas Decorations
- If it’s not Fun, Get it out of the Way First!
Studies have shown that Kids who get home from School, and handle their HomeWork first before going out to Play, grow up to be more Well-Adjusted People capable of Much More than those who Play First, and leave their work responsibilities hanging over them.
Taking Down the Christmas Decorations is not anyone’s idea of Fun.
Get it Done.
Get it Over With.
And Get on to the Fun Stuff as soon as possible. Read the full post »

Tenth Day of Christmas
Anyone Else still have their Tree Up? We are 75% through the Season… Only Three Days remaining. Work is Beckoning, Even Carping that we have been away So Long. How can we be So Irresponsible! One might argue that the Care and Replenishment of the Soul is the Most Responsible we can be to Our Work, Our Selves, and Our Community. In these last few days as Activities begin to subside (Well, except that I was up until 4:30am Baking last night), We are given over to Reflection. Reflection might be the Bridge from the Christmas Holiday To Keeping the Christmas Spirit throughout the Year ahead… All that we need is the Willingness to build that Bridge And then Crossing it will be the most Natural thing in the World… Read the full post »

Ninth Day of Christmas
It’s Snowing Today.
A Great Day for Baking!
I have found that doing my Christmas Baking a bit Later in the Holiday,
It is received with Great Appreciation.
As one friend put it, “This is Great! It arrives just when all the other stuff is gone, and you’re craving a treat!”
I Always send Home-Baked Cookies to my Accountant.
He is Wonderful!
His entire Office seems to Appreciate it.
And apparently, Home-Baked Cookies are less common than they were years ago.
And since January is a Wildly Busy Time at an Accounting Firm,
They seem to arrive at just the right moment every year.
Is there any Holiday Baking you wanted to try this year? Read the full post »

Eighth Day of Christmas
…and the Second day of 2015.
Numerologically, this is the year of 8.
2+0+1+5 = 8
8 signifies Balance.
Therefore this is the Year of Balance.
And Today, the Eighth Day of Christmas, is Also about Balance.
So, Have Some.
Or Get Some.
Or Let Go of Whatever is Creating an Imbalance in your Life.
Let it Go
And Open to your Natural Equilibrium, Poise and Stability —
Your Inherent Goodness
The Person you Truly Are…

Seventh Day of Christmas
Happy New Year.
2015
And it’s still Christmas!
There is a kind of subtle dread that begins to creep in at this point in the process.
It’s New Year’s Day, and something tells me that by this weekend,
there will be a lot of barren Christmas Trees lying out on the curbside,
awaiting pick-up.
I admit it’s a Challenge to leave it up.
If we go all Twelve Days, it Ends Monday,
and then we cannot begin the UnDecorating until Tuesday —
meaning it will likely not happen until the following Weekend.
The Feeling of Joy starts to dwindle as the weight of the task ahead rises up
and begins to feel Herculean…
Fight It!
Fight for JOY! Read the full post »
