Eighth Day of Christmas

Eight…and the Second day of 2015.
Numerologically, this is the year of 8.
2+0+1+5 = 8
8 signifies Balance.
Therefore this is the Year of Balance.
And Today, the Eighth Day of Christmas, is Also about Balance.
So, Have Some.
Or Get Some.
Or Let Go of Whatever is Creating an Imbalance in your Life.
Let it Go
And Open to your Natural Equilibrium, Poise and Stability —
Your Inherent Goodness
The Person you Truly Are…

What is it that just arrived?

What is it that just arrived?

Oooooh! It's a Pair of Ruby Slipper Slipper Socks! FUN!

Oooooh! It’s a Pair of Ruby Slipper Slipper Socks! FUN!

Still so much to do.
And Still enjoying it really.
Presents still arriving…
Presents still going out.

Judith Martin, “Miss Manners,” was once asked,
“What is the Last Acceptable Day for sending Christmas Cards?”
She replied,
“The Last Acceptable Day for sending Christmas Cards is December 25th.”
It makes sense. It’s a Good Answer.
At the same time, I am just Such a Big Fan of Keeping this Christmas Spirit thing Going.
And I cannot help but feel that with a stronger Launch —
That Run that the Pole Vaulter gets when leaping over the High Bar —
It has a Better Chance of sticking the Whole Year Through.
And that’s what I Celebrate!
This Season is So Very Much about Kindness
And JOY
And LOVE
And all of those small RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS that
Awaken our Spirit
and Enable us to Shine

The Poinsettia has Lost a Lot of Leaves by Now

I remember as a Kid, one Christmas Afternoon,
pretty much on a whym, we drove over an hour out to my Uncle’s place in Eastern Long Island
Unannounced,
And began Caroling on his DoorStep.
A Christmas Surprise.
On the Way, we approached a Toll Booth —
This was in the days before EZ Pass —
And we asked DAD to pay the Toll of the Car behind us as a Merry Christmas!
DAD, who was raising four kids and watched every penny,

But it Still Looks Fabulous! Hint: Pine Boughs or White branches help fill in where the Lower Leaves tend to drop, keeping it Full through the Holiday Season

Did it.
We were all Elated!
Just Driving Around and Doing Nice things for People.
It was So Much Fun!
That’s the Part that deserves to be Extended.
That’s what the Season is here to remind us.
It’s about that Elation we feel when we Do Good.

And if the Decorations and the Lights and the Treats and the Presents and the Carols and the Festivity
All help to remind us to do those things
And to Enjoy the Memory of those things,
Then that will help to bring Balance into our very technologically heavy Lives.

Twelve Days is a Good Launch.
What Random Acts of Kindness have made for your Happy Memories?
On whose Front Steps would you like to appear this Evening
singing a Yuletide Carol?
What Launch can we Give
to KINDNESS and JOY and LOVE and FUN
and that feeling one gets when DOING GOOD FOR OTHERS
in this New Year?
