Today I understand
Today I feel it
Today I March
Because We are All One.

Memorial Day

80110005It’s nice to have a Monday Holiday.
I remember the Initial Television Campaign in the 1960’s:
“Celebrate America on the Monday Holidays!”
I Was a Kid.
I didn’t understand how you could move a Calendar around like that,
But that was only the beginning of the many Monumental Changes in Life I would have to learn to Understand…

And So Memorial Day went from May 30th to the last Monday in May.
It had been previously known as Decoration Day

De Nada

IMG_4635De Nada.
It’s a Spanish Expression for “You’re Welcome”
It is politely and colloquially used as a response to “Gracias” (i.e.: “Thank You.”)
Literally, it means “Of Nothing,” as to say “Truly, it’s Nothing at All.”

Mother’s Day. 2015.
MOM only wanted one thing.
EggPlant Parmesan.

Christmas Card 2014

IMG_2593Well, it’s Valentine’s Day Weekend, and we know what that means.
It’s time for my Christmas Card! For those who may not know, I have always celebrated Christmas with a Greeting of Words. I have always believed in the power of Words, and for years, I sent out cards with the words of others, celebrating the Joys of the Season. Now, in this Second Half of Life, I am finding my own Voice, and adding to the Words and Stories of our culture which Celebrate this most Wonderful Holiday. It takes me awhile to find just the right words, so my Christmas Card is offered traditionally sometime between the Twelve Days of Christmas and the First Day of Spring.
Nowadays, My Christmas Story is posted here electronically, at Live The Questions Now. Please feel free to “Like,” “Follow,” “Subscribe,” “Share,” Tell Your Friends, or just sit back with a mug of your favorite Hot Beverage and Enjoy a few minutes of Bonus ChristmasTime… I hope you enjoy this year’s Offering…

In Honor of this Winter Snow Holiday and the New Year, last night I put out my new Crystal Bead Boughs — Just for how they catch the Light

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I know. I know.
Most people were done with that greeting in the first week of January.
But the Year is still New.

And New Year’s Day always seemed to me a Terrible Day to Launch Something.
Firstly, it’s a Federal Holiday in the USA, and a Holiday that most people Celebrate throughout the World
(Twenty-Four times, really — over a course of 24 hours, throughout all the different Time Zones!)
It’s a Time for Festivity.
It is Still Only the Seventh Day of Christmas and many of us are concentrating on that.
So to begin with Resolutions and Plans and Projections at that time seems premature.
Today is a Much Better Day for that! (more…)
