WHAT A MESS!
And if you’re not making one, then you’re not trying hard enough!
This is MARCH.
MESSY MARCH!
Time to take Creative Risks
Make Mistakes
Try Anything you Want
You have Permission to Fail!
This is the Ideal time to mess up.
And if you try something you don’t really know how to do
And it ends up a total Mess,
then you did Good!
You are Celebrating MESSY MARCH!
Let it Go!
In August, Therapists go on Vacation.
In March, Inner Critics go on Vacation.
Perfectionist… Outta Here!
Hopeless…Bye Bye!
Comparer… TailLights!
They are Not Around!
And We can Play!
Everywhere we Look there is Celebration:

The Times Square Subway Station is plastered with signs that say, “Welcome to Macy*s” … except that Macy*s is at Herald Square…
The Subway System…
A Mess!
The Dead Plants along 34th Street…
A Mess!
And sure they will be brimming with brightly colored Daffodils and Hyacinth, come the Flower Show in a few weeks!
But Now? A Mess!
Our Government…
A Mess!
The Price of Bread…
A Mess!
Her Attitude…
A Mess!
So Take the Pressure Off!
Everybody Else is Celebrating!
Remember that Messy March is about Trying Something New
Trying Something Again
Trying Things Out
Trying to Write Something Really Shitty.
Trying to Draw Something Terrible.
Trying to Make Something Ugly.
So Often when we try to Write, Draw or Make Something,
we work in the fear that it won’t be Good Enough
But in Messy March, Not Good Enough is Perfect!
It is the Time of Year when we Cannot Lose.
This Week Alone, there is SO MUCH to CELEBRATE:
3/13: Friday the Thirteenth
