Christmas Card 2015

IMG_2593…At Last!
And this year, it’s posted before WASHINGTON’S BIRTHDAY! 🙂
For those who don’t know, My Christmas Card traditionally arrives sometime in January or February, but has always made it out before Easter Sunday! After so many years, it has become somewhat of a Lovely Tradition!
I think of it as one way of Celebrating the Values of Christmas the Whole Year through!
As we get deeper into Winter, reminders of Kindness, Generosity, Love, Peace on Earth and Good Will toward Everyone are generally Welcome and Appreciated.
I hope that this story can be that for you.
And So, here even in the middle of February, I offer you my Christmas Card.
Feel free to curl up with a  Mug of Hot Cacao, or your favorite Tea, and Enjoy!
Sent to you with Love and Wishing You all the Bountiful Blessings of Winter…

Subtle Miracles

IMG_2814I am on the 3:54 Train
On my way to MOM’s.
I swept on as the doors closed behind me, like a scene from RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK.
And I was able to pick up her favorite Bread,
stopping for a hurried moment of my 120-second jaunt
between the Subway Shuttle and Track 105. (more…)

PopeFrancisPOPE FRANCIS
Who seems a Really Progressive and Cool Guy
But no doubt subject to compromising with the same type of Political Bodies with which
BARACK OBAMA
Another Really Progressive and Cool Guy
Is subject to compromising,
[And let’s not over romanticize ether of these men — they are both fairly Political themselves!]
This Week
Has Canonized POPE JOHN PAUL II and POPE JOHN XXIII
As Saints.

Don’t Miss the Miracle

dirtDo you believe in Miracles?

How does the expression go?
“Those who do not Believe in Miracles have forgotten that they are one.”

Years ago, I flew my Brother-in-Law and his family on their first Visit to New York to stay with us for ThanksGiving Weekend.
My partner had always said how he dreamed of a Home with a Rectangular WindowBox filled with bright cheerful flowers. (more…)

Grace at the Token Booth

Baby AJ

Baby AJ

A Christening on Long Island.
Baby AJ.

Trains to Oakdale run every two hours.
Only the 9:41am Train at Jamaica Station will get me there in time.

After four hours sleep,
Long Waits…
R to the F…
I get off at Briarwood — change for the E to Jamaica.
Almost there…

Postings everywhere read: “No Jamaica-bound E Train service at this station!”
Take the F Train on the other side all the way back to 71st/Continental

I will have missed Baby AJ’s Christening.
I am devastated.

Upstairs in the token booth, I find a small East Indian man, eating a bowl of rice (more…)

Keep Your Heart Open And Your Eyes Wide

A New Beginning
It’s not a day
Or a Crossover Moment at Midnight
Though those sorts of landmarks are nice to have and worth Celebrating…

It is a Frame of Mind
Like the Non-Judgemental Beginner’s Mindset.

It is a Willingness to Bless our Past
And Let it Go
And to Embrace Fully that which lies ahead;
To take Life’s Face in our Hands and say, “I Will Love You Again!” (more…)
