Easter Basket Surprises

REBIRTH!!!
In the Christian Calendar, Today is Easter Sunday, the most Sacred Day of the Year!
In the Jewish Calendar, we are in the season of Passover!
In the Islamic Calendar, the Feast of Ramadan begins this month

It is a Holy & Blessed Time!
Perhaps, today when we look around, it is all too easy to focus upon what we are without.
Let us shift our vision and Awaken Now to how Blessed we are!
Easter celebrates our Life Force and our Love triumphing over the limitations of mere flesh…
Passover celebrates how Looked after and Protected we are – and how a Power Greater than Ourselves is Always looking out for us as we walk through any crisis, difficulties and challenges in this world…
Ramadan is a time of Spiritual Reflection, Self-Improvement, and Heightened Devotion…
Which of us could not benefit from any aspect of these Celebrations right now?

Sure! I am longing for a Hug!
I am tired of my own cooking!
I miss Theater, and People, and Chinese Food, and Mom…
I wonder if my entire industry will return even this year…
I would find this more manageable if it had an end date – which it does – we just don’t get to know when that date will be yet!
Sure…
But, like brightly colored Easter Eggs hidden among the grass – there are Surprises to be found!
And I am including here a Virtual Easter Basket of Surprises and Delights:

* JOHN KRASINSKI started a Youtube Channel entitled SOME GOOD NEWS:
In this past week’s episode, a 9-year old girl named AUBREY gets the surprise of her Life:

* Grade-Schoolers at St. Anthony’s Home and School in Columbus, Nebraska made Get Well Soon cards for people affected by the coronavirus, and mailed them to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to be distributed to those in quarantine.

* The EU donated $22 million to Iran last week for humanitarian aid and skirted U.S. sanctions to send Iran medical equipment, Saving Lives…

* KEVIN LOVE of the Cleveland Cavaliers donated $100,000 to support his arena’s hourly employees after NBA games were suspended.

* This weekend, TYLER PERRY paid for the groceries of countless seniors in Atlanta, Georgia:

* Doctors from Cuba traveled to Italy to join their efforts to contain the virus…

* In New York, JORDANA SHMIDMAN’s bat mitzvah celebration had to be cancelled due to coronavirus rules prohibiting large gatherings. But the food was already prepared. So the SHMIDMAN family had the caterers package it up and parent volunteers then coordinated deliveries to people in quarantine across the New York metropolitan area.

* A Family in Great Britain celebrates their home quarantine :

(I am guessing that you have probably already seen this last one, and although it may perhaps be the Musical Theater Geek inside of me, I have watched it nearly every day since I was made aware of it, and I still laugh out loud every time!

* There is this Beautiful Poem by MARTHA POSTLEWAITE:

Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.
Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life
and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.
Only then will you know
how to give yourself to this world
so worthy of rescue.

–Martha Postlewaite

* COURTNEY JOHNSON, a 15 Year old Girl battling cancer in Los Angeles returned home from her Chemotherapy two weeks ago, and her whole neighborhood came out for a Socially Distanced Welcome Home Party:

* And Finally,
Please enjoy this Message from VOICE ROCK MEDICINE, a Toronto-Based Choir of Women Physicians

Hoping You have enjoyed this Virtual Easter Basket of Surprises and Delights to Celebrate the many Joys and Spiritual Aspects of this month’s Many Reverent Holidays!

HAPPY RAMADAN!
HAPPY PASSOVER!
HAPPY EASTER!
