February 14th is St. Valentine’s Day.
According to CNN, last year’s Valentine’s Day spending total for Americans was:

BIG BUSINESS!
All for a day which honors a third Century Roman Martyr who was beaten, stoned, and then decapitated under the Emperor CLAUDIUS II, for marrying young Christian Couples in secret at a time when it was believed that single men made better soldiers (Less timid in battle; Less responsibilities — More fearless… Not dissimilar to today’s recruiting policies…)
