Today is the first day in America I have had to March to keep Children out of Cages!

Today was the March against the Forced Separation of Immigrant Refugee Children from their parents.
Today was the March against ICE’s Brutal Policy of Concentration Camps… or do we call them simply “Tent Camps”?
What did we call them when we did this to the Japanese-Americans during World War II? “Internment Camps?”
And during Slavery?
And when we put LGBT+ Men and Women in Prison for Loving and being who they are?
It doesn’t so much matter what we call it. It’s Wrong!
Injustice is Wrong!

The Speakers today were exceptional.
KERRY WASHINGTON asked us to stay hydrated, not just because we were Marching in 90 degree heat, and not just today, but because this is a Long Haul Fight! She also reminded us that this Country is Imperfect, but that that is exactly what we can Love about it — its potential to Grow, and even with our imperfections, to Find Our Way!
AMY SCHUMER made an appearance in a Much Appreciated Show of Support!
AL SHARPTON spoke quite passionately about having just returned from Texas addressing a Group of Evangelicals and letting them know that they cannot support dONALD tRUMP and purport to be Christians. He reminded them that as Christians, they Worship a Refugee, and that tRUMP’s Policy of separating Refugee Children from their parents and putting them in Cages is completely antithetical to that Faith!

This week, we Celebrate the 4th of July: Independence Day!
This Day commemorates the Second Continental Congress’ vote for Independence from a Tyrannical Ruler on July 2nd, 1776, and after two days of debate about the wording — mostly with the Southern Colonies insisting upon the inclusion of wording to protect the institution of slavery — the Declaration was finally approved on July 4th, 1776.
In Honor of the Upcoming Holiday, it is well worth another Read:
